Here's a REALLY HELPFUL poster LISA VALENCIA created that has some really good SAFETY HINTS for tourists visiting Costa Rica - BUT - it's also VERY relavant for people's safety that are living in Costa Rica!!
Some people will see this and go into Fear mode. I look at it this way, MANY of these hints are relevant for ANYWHERE you travel and when I have an idea of what POTENTIALLY MAY come up (RARE), I can be prepared hence do NOT have to worry about it from then on out - as long as I'm being CONSCIOUS!!!! I have CONTROL and have little chance of being a "victim!!" and so far that has worked for me in my 35+ years of traveling!! NO incidents yet!!!
